![]() ![]() Advance weekly reservations can be made via email or telephone. June thru August, only weekly reservations are taken on a Monday thru Sunday or Friday thru Thursday schedule. Weekend reservations must be made by phone. Holiday rates apply on Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Off-season rentals have a two night minimum and will be reserved in advance. General Information We maintain a friendly atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of our guests. Adults over the age of 25 will be accepted. Valid identification must be presented upon request. We do not rent for Spring Break, Prom weekends. There is not a telephone in the house so you will want to bring your cell phone. Please do not plan large parties, or plan to exceed the number of people in each house. If you are planning a family gathering, please let us know in advance, as we will try to accomodate the number of guests in several closely grouped homes. Like all beach homes in our area, we are on a SEPTIC SYSTEM. ABSOLUTELY NO PAPER TOWELS, CIGARETTES, SANITARY NAPKINS, WRAPPERS, ETC. IN THE TOILETS. If we have a "Septic Backup" because of this, you will be CHARGED to clear the obstruction. For homes that have downstairs baths, we ask that you not use that bath, or toilet during periods of heavy rains. It will make a mess you won’t enjoy cleaning. Payments We require $300 deposit within 5 days to secure your reservations for any home. At that time a deposit receipt will be mailed to you detailing instructions as to the time you need to send in your rental fee. At the same time a "key package" is made up for you and kept in the office for mailing when the rent is received, usually 30 days prior to check-in date. The "key package" will also contain a map and list of items to turn on and off on arrival and departure pertaining to the specific home you are renting. We do not accept credit or debit cards. Your initial deposit is separate and not to be applied as part of the rent fee. It will be returned to you after inspection and return of the keys. The cost of any repairs, extra cleaning required, items missing from property, insufficient check charges, lost keys or any other charges resulting from your stay will be deducted from the Deposit. Cancellation Policy Deposit is non refundable unless cancellation is received 45 days prior to arrival date. Notification must be received in writing by CERTIFIED MAIL RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED at our office in Houston 45 days prior to arrival date. Trash Service Trash must be in plastic garbage bags and placed in receptacle on street for MONDAY & THURSDAY PICKUP. There is no pickup on holidays and NO SPECIAL OR EXTRA PICKUP CAN BE SCHEDULED. We have critters living on the beach. Dogs, cats, skunks, possums and other night time guests love to gather at the trash and have a party on what you didn't eat. It's a good idea to double bag your trash and sprinkle a little ammonia, red pepper or vinegar on the bag as a deterrent to these little pals. Check-in/Check-out Check-in time is after 12 noon on date of arrival and check-out time is before 12 noon on date of departure, for weekly rentals. Those times may vary for weekend rentals as previously agreed upon on your deposit receipt. Cleaning supplies are furnished by the owner. or as previously arranged. Pets While we enjoy our own family's pets, we do not allow any at our beach homes, either inside or outside. There are kennels located in Galveston. Bringing any pet will result in immediate eviction. The only exception is for sight impaired guests. Linens, beach equipment, and other items needed. |
